Error to Eaton; Smith, J. Assumpsit by John B. Smith, treasurer of Eaton county, against the German Insurance Company of Freeport, Illinois, on a fire policy. From a judgment for plaintiff, defendant brings error.

On October 28, 1893, the defendant issued to the treasurer of Eaton county its policy of insurance, covering $3,000 on the Eaton county courthouse, for three years. The policy was the Michigan standard form, and contained the following conditions:

“This entire policy, unless otherwise provided by agreement indorsed hereon or added hereto, shall be void * * * if the hazard be increased by any means within the control or knowledge of the insured, or if mechanics be employed in building, altering, or repairing the within described premises for more than 15 days at any one time, or if * * * there…
