The complaint in the Municipal Court of the City of Boston charged that on November 2, 1967, the defendant “was a hawker and peddler and as such did expose for sale certain goods, wares and merchandise, to wit: peanuts, ice cream, and popcorn, the said Gordon not having any license, appointment, or authority according to law so to do.” G.
