Schurmann appeals from a decree canceling a certificate of naturalization issued to him by the superior court of Los Angeles county, Cal., on December 17, 1904. The complaint alleges that the certificate of citizenship was procured by fraud, in that at the time Schurmann, a native of Germany, made the oath of .allegiance, he falsely and fraudulently swore that he absolutely renounced and abjured all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the Imperial German government and William II, German emperor,…
