Tlie New York State School for the Blind, situate at Batavia, is the successor of the New York State Institution for the Blind, which was established by chapter 587 of the Laws of 1865. The object of the institution and the provisions for its management and its administration are set forth in article 87 of the Education Law. The record of accomplishment of the school throughout its long life and under past and present management is well known. Its mission is fulfilled in daily achievement.
