This is an appeal by the State under Neb. Rev. Stat. § 29-2320 (Reissue 1989).

After a plea of guilty to operating a motor vehicle while his license was suspended for life or 15 years, a Class IV felony punishable by a maximum term of imprisonment for 5 years, with no minimum specified; a $10,000 fine; or both, see Neb. Rev. Stat. § 28-105(1) (Reissue 1989), on March 30, 1990, the trial court sentenced the defendant, David E. Foral, to 5 years’ imprisonment.
