This suit originated by the filing of a hill in chancery by H. E. Bumgardner, a married woman, and IT. E. Bum-gardner, her husband, against C. P. Leavitt aud others in the Circuit Court of Wood county. The female plaintiff alleges that the defendant, Leavitt, induced her to invest one thousand dollars in the steamboat General Dawes, the proposed cost of which was seven thousand five hundred dollars. It was understood that the boat was to be put in a joint-stock company, in which the plaintiff, IT. E. Bum-gardner, was to have shares in proportion to the money *196she bad advanced…
