JONES, Circuit Judge:

This is an appeal from the conviction of the appellant, Robert Henry Lands-down, for interstate transportation of a firearm after having been convicted of a felony. 1 Landsdown and a traveling companion, one Tisdale, were arrested on August 8, 1963 by Louisiana State Troopers in response to reports from an observer that they had been seen in a bar brandishing a pistol and attempting to sell some jewelry, and a radio call concerning a jewel theft that had recently occurred.
