Pursuant to Fed.R.CivP. 41(b), the district court dismissed this employment discrimination case with prejudice after the plaintiff, who was hospitalized for drug and alcohol addiction, failed to appear for trial and her attorney announced that she was not prepared to go forward in her client’s absence. Moffitt v. Illinois State Bd. of Educ., 184 F.R.D. 298 (C.D.Ill.1999). The plaintiff appeals, contending that the district court abused its discretion in dismissing the case rather than granting her the continuance she requested. 1 We affirm the dismissal of…
