This is a declaratory judgment action brought by April D. Schmidt, a teacher, against Unified School District No. 497 of Lawrence. Appellee sought a declaration she was a tenured teacher of appellant and that the Board’s notice of nonrenewal of her teaching contract was deficient because it did not state the reasons for her nonrenewal and did not mention her right to a due process hearing.
