This is a motion for correction of sentence.
The crime in question was committed in 1935.
The defendant and others were first indicted for robbery, first degree, grand larceny, first degree, and assault, second degree. The first trial resulted in a disagreement.
They were later tried on a superseding indictment to which was added an additional count of kidnapping. The jury found the defendant guilty of both kidnapping and robbery. On January 18, 1937, the defendant was sentenced for the crime of kidnapping to twenty years to life, and for the crime of robbery, first degree, to ten to thirty…
