The plaintiff, John J. Kammerer, had been a patrolman on the Village of Lombard police force since 1958. He was dismissed from the force after a hearing before' the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village upon charges that he had violated certain rules and regulations of the police department. In this administrative review action, the circuit court of Du Page County affirmed the order of the Board, and the plaintiff has appealed directly to this court.
