This matter is before the Court on defendant Docutel/Olivetti Corporation’s (hereinafter Docutel) motion for summary judgment. In this case, plaintiff Chubb Integrated Systems, Inc. (hereinafter Chubb), charges Docutel, a manufacturer of automated teller machines (ATMs), and defendant National Bank of Washington (hereinafter NBW), a purchaser of ATMs from Docutel, with infringement of two United States patents owned by Chubb. 1 Docutel has moved for summary judgment on the grounds that Chubb’s claims are barred by the equitable doctrines of…
