This is an action of tort to recover damages for the death of the plaintiff’s intestate, Gertrude V. Corbett, allegedly caused by a fall on February 7, 1954, due to the failure of the defendant to provide suitable lighting in a hallway on the second floor of a building owned by the defendant on Florence Street in Malden. The action was tried before a jury who returned a verdict for the plaintiff. It comes here upon an exception of the defendant to the denial of his motion for a directed verdict. There was no error.
