CARTER, Justice.

Loren G. Huss, Jr., who was acquitted of a charge of first-degree murder by reason of insanity, appeals from a subsequent judgment committing him as a sexually violent predator. He urges that there were procedural irregularities in the commitment proceedings that violated his constitutional rights and further contends that he was subjected to an improper judgment by default as a sanction for his failure to submit to a psychological examination.
