Freedman v. MCI Telecommunications Corp.
Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit
1Opinion of the Court
Opinion for the Court filed by Circuit Judge RANDOLPH.
RANDOLPH, Circuit Judge:
Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 forbids an employer from “discriminating against any individual with respect to his compensation, terms, conditions, or privileges of employment because of such individual’s race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.” 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-2(a)(l). Marshall Freedman contends that MCI Telecommunications violated that prohibition by discriminating against him because of his religion during his brief but tumultuous employment there in 1997.
