McDERMOTT, Circuit Judge.

In a jury-waived case, the City of Blackwell recovered a judgment for $15,000 on account of the pollution of -the Chikaskia River which destroyed its water supply. Appellant and several other oil companies in 1925 and 1926 brought in numerous oil wells in the Otstot Field; much salt water was produced which was stored in ponds from which it seeped into the river above the waterworks.
