Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Westchester County (Cunningham, J.), rendered September 23, 1985, convicting him of manslaughter in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, after a nonjury trial, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

The defendant’s contention that the People failed to prove that he intended to cause the victim serious physical injury (see, Penal Law § 125.20 [1]) and that he possessed the weapon in question is without merit. Several eyewitnesses testified that, after a verbal argument,…
