Voit, collided with a vehicle owned by Madenna Brown (tortfeasor). At that time, respondent was insured by petitioner, Allstate Insurance Company (Allstate), with supplemental uninsured motorist (SUM) coverage of $50,000 per person and $100,000 per accident.
