Chris Canavos, the appellee, filed a bill of complaint on February 19, 1953, alleging that Alexandra Canavos, his wife, the appellant, in September, 1938, deserted him at his home in Newport News, Virginia, and prayed for a divorce a vinculo matrimonii. On February 28 the appellant filed an answer denying the alleged desertion, praying that the court deny the relief asked for and that the appellee be required to support the appellant and their infant son, whose custody she requested.
