Dear Senator Hopkins:
This letter is a response to your request for an opinion regarding several issues arising out of the provisions of A.C.A. § 23-112-311.
The provisions of A.C.A. § 23-112-311 set forth a procedure under which manufacturers or distributors of new motor vehicles must notify the Motor Vehicle Commission of their intent to establish or relocate dealerships in "relevant market areas" where existing dealers market the same product to be offered by the new or relocating dealership.
