Plaintiff Joseph Calzerano brought this suit against Defendants Board of Trustees of the Police Pension Fund, Article II and the Police Commissioner, as Chairman of that fund (collectively referred to as “Defendants”) for violations of 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and the Fourteenth Amendment. Plaintiff claims that Defendants violated his civil rights by failing to provide adequate due process in considering his application for Accidental Disability Retirement (“ADR”).
