Both Plaintiff, Terre Haute Newspaper Guild, Local No. 46 (the “Guild”), and Defendant, Thomson Newspapers, Inc. (“Thomson”), have filed motions for summary judgment on the Guild’s underlying cause of action requesting that the Court compel arbitration. Pursuant to the Labor Management Relations Act § 301, (“LMRA”) 29 U.S.C. § 185(a), the Guild seeks an order requiring that the grievance filed by the Guild on May 23,1997, be submitted to arbitration.
