On January 4, 2016, relator Eric Dean Perkins filed a petition for writ of mandamus contending that the trial court erred in refusing to authorize full payment of his attorney’s fees for the legal services that he provided as court-appointed second-chair counsel in a capital murder case.2 *426See Tex.
