This is an action for damages growing out of an alleged deceit practiced by defendant upon plaintiff whereby the latter was induced to advance to a failing investment realty company, of which defendant was the president and general manager, the sum of five thousand dollars.
The answer filed by defendant was a general denial. At the trial before a jury a verdict was rendered in favor of the plaintiff for $7,111.67, the amount claimed in his petition, with interest.
