This case presents the following issues for review:(1) Do the Wisconsin adoption statutes permit a third party to adopt the minor child of the third party's nonmarital partner?(2) If the Wisconsin adoption statutes prohibit this adoption from taking place, do these statutes violate the constitutional rights of either the minor child or the third party?
