On September 24, 1918, Lottie M. Conyngham borrowed $9,200 from the Union Central Life Insurance Company, and, as evidence of the indebtedness thus created, gave the insurance company twenty-one promissory notes in different amounts, the first of which matured on February 1, 1919, and one of the remaining twenty matured on the same date in each of the succeeding twenty years, and, to secure the payment thereof, executed and delivered to the insurance company a mortgage upon a tract of land then owned by her, situated in Fergus county, which mortgage was thereafter, on October 7, 1918, duly…
