The complainants allege that they are citizens of the United States and of the state of Kentucky, of African descent, and are residents of the city of Owensboro, and are being deprived by defendants of the equal protection of the law, in that they are discriminated against in the distribution of taxes levied by the city of Owens-boro for the public schools of said city, and they ask an injunction against “the board of trustees of the Owensboro public schools” and its treasurer, restaining them from this alleged discrimination in the distribution of these taxes.
