Defendant Cullen Layton Carter was convicted of aggravated criminal sexual assault (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 38, par. 12 — 14(bXl)) and aggravated criminal sexual abuse (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 38, par. 12 — 16(b)). The trial court sentenced defendant to 15 years’ imprisonment for the aggravated criminal sexual assault charge, to be served consecutively to a six-year sentence for aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
