After the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations twice rejected John Igoe’s applications to be an administrative law judge or a legal advisor for the Division of Workers’ Compensation, Igoe sued the department, alleging claims of age and sex discrimination and retaliation.1 A jury returned a verdict for the department, and Igoe appeals. He asserts that he is entitled to a new trial or, in the alternative, a judgment notwithstanding the verdict.
