Petitioner Edson Flores, a native and citizen of Honduras, seeks review of a May 22, 2012 order of the Board of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”), affirming a January 6, 2012 decision of an Immigration Judge (“IJ”). The agency denied Flores’s motion to continue removal proceedings, which Flores had filed to pursue adjustment of status on the basis of two family-based visa petitions. The agency also found that Flores was ineligible for asylum because his convictions for first-degree sexual abuse, in violation of N.Y. Penal Law § 130.65, were aggravated felonies relating to the…
