This action is brought pursuant to § 205(g) of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. § 405(g), seeking review of a final decision of the Commissioner of Social Security denying plaintiff’s application for a period of disability and disability insurance benefits (“DIB”) under § 216 and § 223 of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 416, 423. Plaintiff has moved for an order reversing the decision of the Commissioner [Doc. # 9], and defendant has moved for an order affirming the decision of the Commissioner [Doc. # 12].
