Lang v. North Jersey Agency, Inc.

Complainant Elmer W. Lang, then unmarried, executed a mortgage in the amount of $7,500, which later, by mesne assignments, became the property of the Slovak Catholic Sokol, Inc. Complainant Elmer W. Lang later married the other complainant, and on October 31st, 1936, they conveyed the mortgaged premises to the defendant by deed which made the premises expressly subject to the mortgage but contained no provision for assumption of the mortgage by the grantee.
