This is a prisoner tort action arising out of an incident which allegedly occurred on June 10, 1986, at the Illinois State Penitentiary in Pontiac, Illinois, where the Claimant was incarcerated. Claimant alleges that while on his work assignment duty in the upper inmate dining room at Pontiac, the front cover of a fan fixture fell, striking him on his back and that he sustained serious injuries.
