Rollin Poe and Bettie L. Poe, to whom we hereinafter refer by name or as plaintiffs, began an action injthe district court seeking damages in the sum of $12,000.00 against First Federal Savings and Loan Association and Allen Chamberlain, hereinafter designated by name or as defendants, for damages allegedly resulting from defendants’ failure to secure flood insurance on plaintiffs’ property. The cause was tried to a jury, which returned its verdict in plaintiffs’ favor and against defendants in the sum of $9,333.00.
