Thomas Edward Castillo was charged with three offenses related to his alleged actions on August 15, 2010. The first indictment charged him with capital murder, which the State alleged he committed by intentionally causing the death of Rogelio Nava while in the course of committing or attempting to commit the offense of burglary of Nava’s home.
