The Carriage Wood-stock Company, .contemplating the erection of a large two-story brick building near Owensboro, employed a competent architect to prepare plans and specifications of. the building, and let the work, that is the brick work, by written .contract to A. . B. Jacks. Jacks employed the labor in doing the work, under his contract.
