Watson Coatings, Inc. (“Watson”) filed an action in state court against American Express Travel Related Services, Inc. (“American Express”), asserting claims for money had and received, unjust enrichment, and acceptance of funds paid in breach of fiduciary duty. The case arose out of checks issued on Watson’s bank account to American Express by a former employee for personal charges on the employee’s husband’s personal credit card account.
