Appellant, Jones, was the owner of 160 acres of land situated near Des Moines. The city of Des Moines instituted proceedings for the purpose of condemning the tract of land for a municipal airport. The sheriff’s jury fixed the value of the land at $65,000. Jones was not satisfied with this valuation and appealed to the district court. In these matters he was represented by George Wilson, a member of the Polk county bar. Appellee, Graeser, is a member of the Polk county bar. He was employed by Jones in the condemnation proceedings as an expert on real estate values.
