Plaintiff-Respondent Roger Gillespie was injured while working as an employee of an independent contractor at Appellant St. Joseph Light & Power Company’s (“SJLP’s”) plant. The jury found for Mr. Gillespie, and SJLP appeals the trial court’s ruling denying its motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict. We find that SJLP did not retain substantial control of the work or premises.
