George Alberto Monreal, Medardo Edward Lugo, and John David O’Conner appeal their convictions for cocaine distribution in the Southern District of Iowa. All three defendants were convicted of conspiracy to distribute cocaine in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846. Lugo and O’Conner were also convicted of distribution of cocaine in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1). O’Conner was convicted of one distribution count for involvement in a transaction occurring on or about April 1, 1992.
