Defendant, Ozzie Wallace, was charged by indictment with armed robbery. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, par. 18 — 2(a).) Following a joint bench trial with codefendant Dwayne King, he was found guilty and sentenced to six years’ imprisonment. Codefendant King was acquitted.
