On May 24, 1993, Plaintiff, Union Carbide Corp. (“Union Carbide”), filed this federal question action against Defendants/Third Party Plaintiffs, Thiokol Corp., Morton International, Inc., and Morton Thiokol, Inc. (collectively, “Thiokol”), alleging that Thiokol is liable under 1) the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, 42 U.S.C. § 9601 et. seq.
