This case, because of its importance, has received very careful attention. We have, however, after a thorough examination of it, become convinced that its chief element of importance lies in the fact that the verdict is for so large an amount. Indeed, the question whether or not the verdict is excessive has *214given us more serious concern than any other. A. E.
