MEMORANDUM, JUDGMENT & ORDER

WEINSTEIN, Senior District Judge.

The petition for a writ of habeas corpus is denied. No hearing on this matter is necessary. This memorandum briefly addresses petitioner’s claims. As noted below, the case raises a serious problem about what some might see as attempts by the Court of Appeals for the Second Cir cuit to impose federal standards on state sentencing procedures.
