The defendant is indicted for selling intoxicating liquors for beverage purposes. He was convicted and sentenced to pay a fine of $500, and to be imprisoned in the parish jail for a period of 60 days, and, in default of payment of fine, to incarceration in said jail for an additional 12 months.
