Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Orange County (Berry, J.), rendered April 15, 1993, convicting him of sexual abuse in the first degree and assault in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

The defendant contends that the 18-month pre-indictment delay violated his due process rights under the State Constitution (see, NY Const, art I, § 6). We disagree.
