¶ 1. The appellant’s motion for rehearing is granted. The previous opinions are withdrawn and these opinions are substituted therefor.
¶ 2. Anthony Joe Doss was convicted of capital murder in the Circuit Court of Grenada County and sentenced to death for the murder of Robert C. Bell. Doss’ conviction and sentence were affirmed by this Court on direct appeal. Doss v. State, 709 So.2d 369 (Miss.1996), cert. denied, 523 U.S. 1111, 118 S.Ct. 1684, 140 L.Ed.2d 821 (1998). In Doss v.
