THE COURT.

By allegations contained in his petition for a writ of certiorari herein, it appears that in the course *420of the trial of an action that was pending before the respondent superior court, on each of three separate occasions petitioner was adjudged guilty of contempt of said court, and was sentenced to pay "a fine of $500 and to serve a term of five days in the county jail. However, as to the second offense, later the fine was ordered remitted and the jail sentence was ordered to be served concurrently with that imposed by the adjudication which related to the first offense.
