The issue before us is the adequacy of Shawmut Bank, N.A.’s (Shawmut’s), evidence to support a finding against William J. Chase after an assessment of damages hearing.
In 1987, Nappco, Inc. (Nappco), entered into a revolving loan agreement with Shawmut, secured by Nappco’s assets, which consisted of inventory and accounts receivable. At the same time, Chase and one Charles W. Roche each executed an unlimited guaranty of Nappco’s obligations to Shawmut. Nappco defaulted on its obligations.
