The defendant, a common carrier by motor vehicle, appeals from an order granting summary judgment to the plaintiff, a shipper in Puerto Rico, with an assessment of damages for the full value of a package containing merchandise. This package was delivered by the plaintiff to the defendant in Puerto Rico for shipment to a designated consignee in New York City.
